The Bloodmoon Legacy - Senyalin Backstory

The story of Senyalin begins six months ago, just before her 21st birthday and the awakening of her powers.
For over eight generations, the Bloodmoon Family has been a part of the secret world, going back to Tobias Bloodmoon in the early 19th century. The Bloodmoon family hails from the city of New Orleans, where Tobias was one of the wealthiest plantation owners in the city. Unlike many other owners of the time, he treated his slaves with dignity and respect. He had their respect and the ire of his peers. Tobias was also a skilled marksman, thanks to his powers. This talent was passed from one generation to the next; until Senyalin was born.
By the time Senyalin was born, the Bloodmoon family had expanded it's power base into the private military sector and shipping. Her two brothers and sister were seasoned mercenaries, flying all over the world into some of the worst hot spots that not even American or British Special Forces would go. It was believed Senya would continue the family legacy, but, destiny had other plans.
During a formal gathering in which several wealthy families were in attendance, Senya was asleep in her room when a "bee" flew into her mouth, causing her dormant powers to awaken. But something unexpected and violent happened: her powers triggered with the equivalent force of thirty tons of TNT. The gathering was held in an adjacent building when the entire house exploded and sending Senya flying into the nearby woods. While no one was killed, several were injured and Senya has gone off the grid.
