Does anyone like cars?

Are you a gear-head? Do you like to drive fast? What car do you drive, and what car do you WISH you drove?

I freely admit to being a big time car aficionado. My dad had me changing oil and setting spark gaps before he gave me my first set of keys. I watch Top Gear (excuse me, GRAND TOUR) religiously and consider speed limits to be "guidelines" and the warning limits on sharp curves to be a personal challenge.

My current ride is a 2015 V8 Chevy Camaro convertible with 455hp and top speed of 150mph. Yes, it will do 150mph. How do I know this. . . let's just say Nevada HWY 50 is very straight and VERY empty. When I got back to CA after a month away taking care of my mom, one of the first things I did was get behind the wheel of my baby. I feel vaguely guilty that the "Oh, sweetie, I've missed you SOOO much!" was said to the steering wheel, and not to my boyfriend."

If I had all the money in the world, I'd probably own an Aston Martin DB-11 (because of it's combination of brute force speed and beautiful looks) or a Ford GT (if I were feeling patriotic and wanted a track day car).

Well, when the spawn is grown and out of the house, you can go back to your "donor cycle" lifestyle as part of your midlife crisis :-D

I've always wanted to ride motorcycles, but I've see too many of the riders come through our OR after a crash. Since I kind of like having two fully functional legs, I chickened out. Ironic, really, since it's not like I'm being all safe and sane on four wheels. In fact, when I'm driving any other car, one of the things my boyfriend REPEATEDLY says (usually as we go screeching around a corner) is "You're not in the Camaro, Dear"
