Hi fellow swords - so I stumbled on this stone in the Blue Mountain and I was going to give translating it a shot over the next few days?

What do you all think? could this be random runes, or is Ragnar leaving us some more clues about the back story of Solomon Island in the game?

You're quite likely on to something. And even if not, it could make a nice RP opportunity.

Someone in our cabal knows the runes. I remember running DW with someone who translated some stuff.

Tolkien's cirth runes contain all I believe, will look at the original alphabets he used

Okay, as much as I can translate using that Cirth table, first line of stone is mysterious "ag fgdshb", and next line
"if dgg fd fdw"

Thanks for the insight, I'll keep at it. Ragnar was never going to make it easy was he ;)

I don't know... you're sort of implying that there is a hidden meaning behind it. Given that Venator's reading points towards a word being "fgdshb", I would dare guess this was the result of a graphics artist just spamming a few of the middle row keys on the keyboard to produce something pretty in a runic alphabet.
