Grand Theft: Artifact: http://www.nine-swords.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1633

This is open to anyone who might be involved in the story. We put it here so folks from out of cabal who are involved can interact with it too! Let's let a few people respond before we assume it's happened in-game. Best bet would be to send me a tell and ask if we're playing it as having happened in game yet before you start rp in there about it. Shouldn't be too long! We can keep up with the responses here as long as anyone's interested! Hope you guys have fun with it!

Had to fix something from last night, sorry. The alley shooter reminded me that the bodies were shot from the front, not the back. It was late... the alley was dark... WES MADE ME DO IT! Okay none of that is true... I fixed it. :P

Oh, I thought "How neat! It totally looks like an execution... They got rid of the expendable personnel." Mmm, why does it make a difference?...

It still looks like clearing expendable personnel to me. They walk into the alley, he turns around and plugs them both in the face with the gun he's carrying. I don't recall mention of them having any weapons but the knives?

OKAY! We're going to go back to playing in-game as well as on this thread now. We're doing a little time-warp for this. In-game we're going to assume the scene currently taking place at Edwards has already happened... though on the thread for now, we're going to finish playing it out, so everyone involved can finish the scene together.

That make sense? If not..er..wing it >.>

So, if we see each other in game, we should assume Edwards has been broken into and the artifact is gone. Remember, your characters don't know a lot of things you might... (like, we don't know Walsh is a Dragon *grins*)... Have fun!

Maybe we should take a small break in the scene and let Xee and Didas get time to respond?

I think, having talked to Xee, that her response is going to be in game? As for Dida, sure, I think there's a lot going on in the scene at the moment, so there's plenty of room for him to respond (I mean, everyone's not doing the same thing at the moment). I honestly wasn't sure he was going to respond in the thread? Don't want to pressure anyone into having to, but there's plenty of room for response.

This scene's sort of been taken out of the time-stream now, so everything happening in it will be assumed to have already happened for our in-game roleplay at this point. So he can pick it up there too if he wants.

I plan to put some of the in-game information back into the thread, as well, after this scene is finished.

EDIT:

It occurred to me after I answered this that it's worth noting that, though the thread's been up over 48 hours, the time elapsed in this scene is only about 3 hours (tops, I'd say) from the time the break-in started at this point (assuming we can move pretty fast on foot because the Templars make us jog 40 miles a day with a 100 pound pack >.>). It's absolutely logical for some people to be out of touch for that long, so there's no reason a response at this point from anyone wouldn't make sense.

Just my 2 pax here. I tried to work in a few replies while being at work (on the road) most of the last two days which is why my replies were so short. I would have liked to offer more, but it just wasn't feasible given my schedule and when the replies were posted.

I would suggest that if people want to describe their responses it doesn't need to be in the context of interacting with others if that's easier and more convenient given timing and other factors. What I would hate to see is characters being 'stuck' in this scene for a lengthy period of time. I mean we can always just use this as background for the next time they meet in game, right? :)
