Raid Thursday 5 September 19:00 GMT

In the absence of the website we've been continuing raids as normal. So this is a post to remind about signups for this Thursday's raid.

The biggest change over the past two weeks is that signups are now limited to 13 people. It's very stressful having to deal with more people wanting to get in than I have any kind of capability to accommodate. The more people that sign up, the greater the chance for a clash of team selection priorities. So now signups are conducted on a first come basis, with the final team only being chosen out of the first 13 people who signed up.

As we can see on the points list, the following people are signed so far for next raid:

1. Claretta
2. Torniquet
3. Riora
4. Kadyn
5. Kaitlina
6. Cleia
7. Whitebean
8. Yggdra
9. Mimmsy
10. Katfish
11. GaboonViper
12. Katelin
13. Uragon

In the last two weeks the signups and looting stuff has been organised better, and you can now see online:

The looting list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... taUE#gid=0

The looting rules: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TDd ... 51b9txKJo/

I feel the smoothness of the past few weeks has shown everything is working fine. Loot has more or less been evenly allocated among those who raid regularly, and new people have been able to get loot. We've had 7 Astral Fuses, and they've all gone to different people, which I call a success.

Just as a sidenote, the astral fuse streak would mean if they had a 14 or 21 base price, everyone would be far in the negative now. :P

Relying on the forums so much proved a problem when they crashed, but luckily I had accurate records offline. Today I cross-checked the spreadsheet with the forum records I kept here and had to correct one entry (the old loot list on the forums shows MissShadow paying for a criterion, which I had overlooked when transferring everything to the spreadsheet). However it is all correct now and everyone has received the correct loot. Any minor accounting problems caused by having to abruptly change records did not result in any in-game allocation mistakes.

The spreadsheet also makes it easier to understand the pattern of points and loss streak awards, and I took the opportunity to make sure everything was all squared away.

Also, if any of our tanks are able to wear any physical protection for the raids that'd be welcome, I think. Is the only stat that actually works against Whisper of Darkness.

Just as an accounting record, Cleia and Whitebean checked in with me 30 minutes prior to raid start to see if we needed them. Said we looked like would have enough, and so they logged, which is why they still got points.

In future raids I will also announce those specifically who are eligible to roll on the highest value item.

So when I tried creating this event, I played around with the repeating events function, before deciding against it. But it seems I created calendar spam... Don't have calendar permissions to fix it am afraid.

I have no idea how to fix it, none of the previous posts that were flagged with repeated event in this sequence allowed me to change the status - so forwarding this in Uras direction :D

That was an interesting kind of broken-ness. I ended up deleting the leftover repeat events in the database using SQL. Seems something like a bug where you directly delete a repeat event it does remove the event from the database, but not the repeats that are in a separate table.
