Generally this is only an issue if DPS don't specify if they're Buff DPS when signing up. There's enough people that cycle through on these raids that it can be hard to remember who does what. If there's not a Buffs DPS listed on the team assignments, someone in that team can always ask if anyone has buffs while clearing trash too.

Incendia as dps with sf or aoe dps.
Minariel as melee dps.

That's for the group to work out. I don't like to micromanage. Unless something is going seriously wrong which needs me to step in, my role is to keep everyone focused on the task, not tell them how to do their jobs. Losing DA/BS does not fall under the seriously wrong category.

In the past raids I've told people to do the raid without buffs precisely because the group had not worked it out before the raid among themselves. If we get ready to pull and builds are not finalised, my job is to get the raid started, optimal or not, as I do not wish people to be still debating roles in Times Square.

Typically my way of putting together the DPS in that non-tank group is to make sure it has enough AoE and then let the remaining 2-3 members decide for themselves what they're going to do. If they all want to be melee DPS, that's cool.
