10k Achievement Locusts Hunt

The idea is to kill as many Locusts as possible in order to get the 10,000 kill achievement.
To do that quickly we are going to a spot in the Scorched Desert with five Locust mounds. We take on one at a time and by the time we are done with the fifth, the first one should be up and ready again.

If you decide to sign up, please observe some rules during the hunt:
* everybody needs to keep a lookout for other players playing a mission in the area. We do not want to interfere with their enjoyment of TSW
* if you decide to use a keyboard macro, stay at your keyboard. If Funcom finds out you are using a macro and you are afk, they will ban you!
* make sure you have enough inventory space

There are two addons which could be useful:
* an 'auto need/greed'-addon is highly recommended. There will be a lot of loot and you do not want to waste your time having to click on every item of loot. The best option is to set it to greed.
* Valerie's Infarmer. With this tool you can keep track of your kill count. Very handy.

I have set the time to one hour for now. If you sign up you are expected to stay that one hour, even if you reach your 10k. After that hour you can decide if you want to continue or not.

I did my locusts just north of Nassir's camp, beyond the scorpion area. The mobs are quite low health, in groups of 5, with only the occasional big guy.

If you run through that area (around the Locust God temple entrance), exit via the western pass, then you can kill more heading towards the bridge to the hotel, swing around behind the large rock, pick off the two groups there and then a quick sprint back to the southern entrance and repeat.

If there are only one or two of you, that might be a better route as you'll be killing them 5 at a time.

Naite, thanks for the info. I have done an extended version of that route (scorpions, locusts, ghouls). I found that for hunting just locusts I prefer the mound area because it involves less moving around

And you get 12 small locusts and a big one from one mound, so that's a good score I think.

But again, thanks for the info. Perhaps other people prefer this alternative way and we could do that.
