(Hope I'm doing this correctly)

Hi all,

I recently passed the Guardian of the Nightmare dungeons. Is there a team willing to show me how the Nightmare dungeons work and explain the basics so that I can join other teams for a 18 or 24 run in the future ? I'm geared in 10 purple talismans with blue glyphs when I dps so I hope I have enough firepower to qualify for a first run. Thanks for the support.

2. Katelin
3. Sonno/ Rick Fortune
4. Chaos
5. Floryn

Happy to help out, sure. Sonno can shoot stuff or leech. MissR can shoot stuff or fist heal.

With those stats we should even be fine to do a full 18s run if you are so inclined :) I'll gladly help either way though (even if it's just Polaris), Chaosetor, DPS, tank, Fist healer or theoretical leecher :P

Edit: Qualifications for the 18s (Polaris, Hell Raised and Darkness War) aren't too high, in Polaris it's mostly up to your healer to keep the tank alive long enough, Darkness War is really mostly a matter of being able to keep the tank alive and down the hordes of adds before they kill the tank, and Hell Raised has some DPS checks, most notably the Machine Tyrant, but it is still fully doable, especially with a 9s team. As for glyphs, need on the nightwatch glyph kits when you see them drop as they are what is used to create custom purple glyphs :)

As for the 24s, which includes Hell Eternal, you should be good to go there too, though it is a bit more mechanical, with a good team it should not be an issue. Alas, it is up to you how many dungeons you want to run, and a solo Polaris, though unusual, if perfectly fine too, BBs are BBs :D

Another Edit: As there is no time specified in the title I am going to assume that it is at 20:00 GMT as shown in the event on the calendar.

Thank you very much all for your reaction :D

I suggested a simple Polaris because I didn't want to bloc too much of anyone's playtime in babysitting me. If however you are willing (and I'm not too bad at it) I am more than willing to try out a full 18 and find out what it is all about ;)

See you later.

The most common way of doing NMs is to collect Polaris, Hell Raised and Darkness War to one collective run (which yields a total of 30 bullions) I for one would be more than happy to accompany you through a full 18s run if you want to try that, it would also give you the experience needed to spontaneously jump onboard future 18s runs as you see them :)

Well, if you really want folks to take the time and explain the fights, then it's not a bad idea to only do one dungeon in the hour. There isn't much time to explain mechanics if you give yourselves 20 minutes per dungeon. ;)

True, but if you have run through the 18s as a DPS in Elite then there isn't that much that differs in the NM version to be honest. The differences come when you heal and when you tank, the main difference for a DPS would be what hurt you in Elites kills you in NMs

Edit: at least for the 18s, and with the obvious exception of the Machine Tyrant. For The Ankh, Hell Fallen, The facility, hell Eternal to a degree and the Slaughterhouse the mechanics are way more advanced than those one would encounter in the 18s if one were to compare them to the Elites. While three dungeon runs in an hour may be ambitious, clearing two (namely Polaris and Darkness War) should be fully doable since Hell Raised is the dungeon with the most noticeable changes from Elite to NM of the three.
