Week end event planning

Well gents we have a time slot for the cabal launch event on Sunday the 7th of July at 2100 GMT.
See this link for details on said event!

We will be following up from a possible PVE event/gathering involving the Inferno dungeon in Savage Coast.
What I'm thinking for now is meeting up at the London Fight Club in Darkside, and hosting a fight night for the members. Giving everyone a chance to warm up for half and hour to an hour. Then queuing up for Fusang Projects as a cabal! If FC keeps Fusang the way it is we'd all get a boost as if we were rank 10's. We'd all hopefully have some nice blues form the dungeons, and most importantly we'd be together.

Doing this would give us the best chance for a positive experience in Fusang without high levels making up the population. It would also be a great way to establish dominance over our shard for our faction. We'd get seals (PVP currency) as well ans get them for everyone in our faction when we capture and hold temples.

I do have a concern so far as to the time being too late for the European crowd.

in any case, discuss!

With such a tight overall schedule I doubt we'll be able to get a lot of good gear for PvP, the AP count at the time will definitely be lacking, more so if we build ourselves to run dungeons instead of PvP.

It's not that we can't still have some fun in Fusang or warzones, I just don't see us successful :)

And yeah, I live in GMT+4 zone so it'll be Monday, 0100 for me already, so I'm out sadly. Those who live a bit farther to the west will be able to enjoy this a little though :)

I am concerned that the PvP areas will be deserted at that point, due to nobody having gear yet. :/ I probably wont be able to attend the event because of the time, but I do hope that it is successful for you guys!

Well a lot of things depend on what FC brings to live. There is a equal ground buff that runs that bumps up your hit and defense rating up to a QL 10 toon. I did tank the Fusang guardians at QL 3 Shotgun/Ele with a QL 4 blood healer spamming the first bubble over and over on me. It would take a while to kill one... 250,000 HP but it was, and might be do able come launch.

FC also said a while back you'd have to finish Solomon Island and Egypt before you can que for Fusang... again it depends.

Either case I think we can have fun in the London fight club just the same if Fusang is a bust. If Fusang is a go, then lets go make a statement. How many people let alone cabals would even go to Fusang a few days after launch?

The time does bug me a bit... Volen has been flexible, thus far so we could maybe push it forward a bit more :)

The schedule Volen posted was a suggestion :) If you cannot make the time as a division, then change it to something that you can all / mostly all attend and let him know so he can update the schedule!!

I'm sorry to go off topic, but if that's true, you won't be seeing me PvPing a lot. Gear should matter.

As for schedule, we definitely can somehow coordinate to bring the PvP event a bit back in time, for everyone to be able to get in.

@Bpy6: I'm not very good at crushing numbers or quick analysis of game mechanics (maybe I'd be if I had more free time to focus on it, I don't know). It would help me if you'd explain what you mean by "Gear should matter".

Now, on the thread's topic:

The World Domination buff, when maintained, apply to all players of the faction owning the field. I've been meaning to jolt down what the buff gives, but it's worth it and would help our faction in its progression.

It's also a good way to gather XP, SP and AP when the missions are on cool down, and you receive PvP tokens that you can use to buy from the Temple Hall vendors ;)

So, getting out there sooner will allow us to contribute to getting a head start for our faction and for ourselves :) The worse that can happen is that your pixellized character respawns at an anima well... Nobody will leave their computer chair with a single bruise :P

Oddly enough gear does still matter even with that buff. The boost effect the chance to hit, and removes the 'out leveled' advantage, but it does not touch chance to crit, chance to pen, chance to dodge, HP, heal rating, base damage, ect.

Basically if you can't hit your target with that buff on it's because they are geared for it.

I've killed a few rank 10 guys before only because they went with full attack gear (Crit rating, crit damage, and Pen rating) and had only 3k life. They had no defensive secondary skilled so my crit/pen build hit them hard for 600 damage on finishers. I also had a few evade glyphs in and was wearign the tank armor. Those said 10's did not have a drop of hit rating in their gear so I dodged most of their attacks. Being on the receiving end though I've been 1 shotted before by rank tens at rank seven myself for the same reason. Gear makes a *HUGE* difference not only in what you have access to, but how you use it. Skill levels do get watered down by the buff.

Yes, gear does make a difference, hypothetically. That being said, you will manage fine without excellent gear.

Also, for this event, it will definately be worth it, thinking about it. The control points need to be taken, and seeing as you can get by without getting high level gear then people will probably be fighting for those control points from day 1.

I wouldn't be too sure this "levelling buff" actually makes it into the live servers. Could really have been one of those things related to it being a beta server where they don't really expect you to grind all the way to endgame.
