If the need is there, I would like to volunteer my services as a tank. Then maybe we can get more Raids going with the moe experienced people spread out through 2 groups or something. Itll be a bit though, I have no idea what to do as a tank. If this seems like a good idea, let me know and we can make it happen :)

Good luck on getting sweet loot tonight everyone.

P.S. A fuse dropped in the PUG I was just in. I really am good luck for those dropping. Too bad I never win one :P

So for an insight into the thought process behind team selection:

1. Just because you are put on a reserve list does not mean you won't get in. People often have to sit out at the last minute due to irl stuff. It really annoys me when people make a big deal about not getting in one week, say "Screw you guys, I'm not raiding" and then we need to struggle for people some weeks due to irl obligations.

2. You'll still get loot points if you show up due to the need to have extra people show up to address point 1.

3. The people who usually get in do so because the raid won't get done without them. The raid isn't as easy as the "Just get it done in 6 minutes compared to 5 minutes" crowd suggests. For a month not so long ago we did not manage to complete the raid 4 times in a row because we were missing a few key people. Putting together the team is about success chances balanced with giving people experience. Paradoxically, you cannot have the latter without the former. Nothing is accomplished by filling the raid with half new people and then having those new people constantly wipe at the start of phase 3.

There is no doubt that you're doing an awesome job managing and organising these raids. I had a look at your spreadsheet and I must say that looks like a lot of work :P

I was just agitated due to not agreeing with one aspect of the system combined with misunderstanding a couple of other aspects, but you have enlightened me and not being afraid to humble, I must say that I agree to everything now.

Looking forward to the raid in 25 min! :)

That raid was a good illustration of the thought process behind team selection. :P

Losing Kisshoten to tanking meant we didn't have enough AoE DPS. Then losing Ciritty to tanking meant we lacked single target.

As Durendal said, it was a good training run, though. But it does illustrate how critical some roles are.

Ahhh, well, a lot of the deaths were caused by accidents / mistakes and not necessarily the lack of DPS or anything like that, though I get your point. Good thing is that we made it in the end :)
