Hello! Glad you found your way here
Earl Grey wrote:While I will very much PVE, RP and PVP are things that keep me going long term in an MMO. To date, the only other game that has really held my interest was AoC due to its unique combat style and immersive environment with which to RP. I expect TSW to give me that same experience, so am looking for the long haul (I only recently gave up on AoC, and had been playing since launch).
I am not a hard core RP'er though, but do enjoy playing in the setting of the game and keeping the immersion of the game feeling alive. As well, I enjoy PVP for its change of pace and adrenaline rush, but usually RP and PVP don't mix, or finding a guild/cabal that focuses on those elements is challenging although I have found there are many players looking for it.
There are more players out there with the same dilemma. Kotts is leading the PvP division, yet he roleplays and goes on PvE and... I find myself with the same problem: I love more than one and only one thing! No "specialized" cabal out there could satisfy me. I would always be lacking something I find important and enjoyable.
We assembled a team of founders that is very diversified and that covers a broad range of skills and interests. Our differences are a strength, thanks to mutual respect! You can check out the "Division Overview" at

If you'd like to dig further, you can then look at the directives, in the left hand menu (under 9S CENTRAL).

http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?G ... With several members replying to my post, I am now exploring my options here.
I also thought about starting my own cabal a few years ago, I had some ground work done but in order to achieve something worthy of being called a cabal, it's very demanding. I met some of the Nine Swords leaders at different times. One is my husband, others are friends from other games, and others I met through a previous cabal. We regrouped and formed Nine Swords, which was closer to our heart and aspirations.
If you like to contribute and have ideas and are not afraid to use them, then we are likely to have a spot with your name on it

I'm all about working as a team and teaching/helping where needed. It's more satisfying to learn together or help when needed. I also enjoy helping organizing events, matches, etc...if that matters. Lastly, I enjoy encouraging others to come up with a story behind their toon...even if they dont RP...it, again, helps to create that immersive environment that gives a game staying power. Who doesnt want to be part of a living, breathing evolving story that they are a key part of?
That is the spirit that guided us when we set up Nine Swords. Working as a team and complementing one another has allowed us to do a lot with little means and little time. We puzzle people because we're not a "specialist" guild, but we are a gathering of diversified talents who work together.
I do believe that there are more out there who like to experience more than one flavor of a game.
So, chill out, explore and ask questions if you have any
