The only real problem with DPS was during phase 1, as well as in final resort. For phase 1, in a handful of runs we were exactly at the point where shadow would hit during the pod coming. Given that everyone is conditioned to just run to safety, that's a problem. When a pod is coming and you're in front of me (or behind, from the lurker's perspective) then the pod will decide to chase you, and without evasive maneuvers will catch you most of the times too. That caused enough of a distraction to either lead into dps or tank deaths at the phase change. There really are two ways around this: Change dps output to either be higher (hard, I know) or lower. Or alternatively, simply stay standing close to the lurker and eat the wave. It barely does any damage anyways, however the debuff of it can be irritating -- especially on a tank.

In Final Resort, the objective is to burst DPS. So have DA/BS/SF ready and use all the other buff buttons, curiosities and gadgets you've got. Oh and most importantly... you have to still be alive to actually do DPS. :) By the end, we got the boss down to 30k, so if we didn't have any deaths there it would have been enough. That's easier said than done though after an hour of wiping, hence we just have to take it as a lesson learned for the future and do better the next time.

Ugh, yeah. We run into the dreaded pod on phase change a lot. Pizza usually ends up podded trying to keep it away from people. We've had many a wipe to that.
