General

  • The Dark House Sorcerer stands in the middle of a somewhat circular area. 
  • The fight has different, but repeating phases. The team members either have to stand close or away from the boss. There are a lot of AoEs to look out for. Watch where you stand during this fight. 
  • The boss will summon little ak'ab adds. 
  • Abilities to watch out for
    • Blood Out: A dangerous storm surrounds the playfield. The boss stands in the centre, which is the only safe area. 
    • Blood In: The area closest to the boss is now dangerous. Ak'ab adds will appear.
    • Sanguine Omen: Blood AoEs that should be avoided. 
    • Ceremonial Cut, Line or Cross: During the blood in- phase of the fight, a line or cross of runes appears in the safe area. These lines are dangerous and may rotate.
  • E8+: The boss gains stacks of Itzama's wrath: A self-buff that increases the outgoing damage of the boss. Can be purged. 
  • E14+: The boss will gain even more stacks of Itzama's Wrath. 

 

What the tank needs to know: 

  • Adds will appear after the boss has cast the Blood Out ability. Make sure to pick them up before they kill someone. 
  • If you have a healer, know that they may be the target of any adds that spawn. 

 

What the healer needs to know: 

  • Healing may cause adds to aggro on you. It may be wise to not stray too far away from the tank. 
  • Group heals or shields may save any team members getting attacked by the adds. 
  • You must be aware of what is happening under your feet as well as the tanks health. The boss uses a lot of effects on the ground during this encounter. 

 

What the dps need to know: 

  • Kill adds that appear, without getting killed yourself. Adds may aggro on you if the tank has not picked them up. Bringing the adds to the tank may save you. 
  • Pay attention to what is happening on the ground. A lot of dangerous AoEs will appear during this fight. Keep moving away from the danger.
  • When the group is forced to stand close to the boss (after Blood Out), be careful with putting effects on the ground (such as Blizzard or High Explosive Grenade). This can make it very difficult for the whole group to see AoEs that should be avoided. 
  • E8+: It may be useful for DPS to bring some type of purge to this fight, to get rid of Itzama's Wrath.
