General
Eblis is the final boss in Hell Eternal. The encounter starts of with Eblis and Wicker arguing with eachother. Once Wicker disappears, Eblis becomes targetable.
Active Effects:
Immune to CC
Abilities to look out for:
Shadow in the Blood
: "Shadow energies turn you into a living bomb". AoE centered on the tank. Explodes after a few seconds.
Dark Rush:
The boss rushes to whoever holds aggro, placing Shadow in the Blood AoE on the tank and anyone in between the boss and the tank.
Consummation:
The boss drains health from a random player in the team. Cannot be interruped.
Solar Collapse:
Several large, exploding AoEs are placed on the ground. Cannot be interrupted.
Occluding lens:
Damage reflect shield. Purgeable at lower elite levels.
Cast out:
Eblis pulls everyone into the centre of the area and places a bubble around himself and the group. Around the bubble stands a bunch of hell soldiers. Leaving the bubble is a bad idea. Inside the bubble he casts some different abilities:
Painwheel overdrive
: Large circular AoE. Can and should be interrupted.
Vanquish:
Column AoEs to the sides. Cannot be interrupted.
E8+:
Rot Iron:
Places green chains that hinder on a random player in the group. Must be cleansed or the player will die.
Drink Deep:
Self-heal. Can be interrupted.
Solar Collapse now moves after the group. The whole team has to move to run away from the AoEs.
Occluding Lens can no longer be purged.
E14+:
Drink Deep can no longer be interrupted.
Occluding Lens does increased damage.
What the tank needs to know:
Make sure you are the first to grab aggro from the boss. In most cases it is adviced to lure him to the side of the playfield. That way you can avoid Solar Collapse in the centre of the playfield.
Make sure none of the players get between you and the boss, as they may be affected by Shadow in the Blood.
After Eblis has pulled everyone inside the bubble, watch out for Painwheel Overdrive. This should be interrupted.
E8+:
If there is no healer in the group, make sure someone has a cleanse for Rot Iron.
Make sure to place the boss to the sides of the playfield so that Solar Collapse isn't placed in the centre.
Be careful of Drink Deep. This heals the boss a lot and can be interrupted.
What the healer needs to know:
Do not get between the boss and the tank.
E8+:
Bring a cleanse for Rot Iron
Group heals may be useful because of damage from Occluding Lens and Consummation.
What the dps need to know:
Allow the tank to hit the boss first.
Do not get between the boss and the tank.
When the group is pulled into the centre during Cast Out, be careful with putting effects on the ground (such as Blizzard or High Explosive Grenade). This can make it very difficult for the whole group to see AoEs that should be avoided.
E8+:
If there is no healer in the group, make sure someone else has a cleanse for Rot Iron.
Pay attention to Occluding Lens on the boss. You may take a lot of damage from this.
