The story of Raishana begins three years ago, in her home country of Africa.
Talia Raishana Raine had known of the Secret World ever since she was a young girl growing up in Johannesburg. Both of her parents were "umzingeli wezilwanyana", translation: monster hunters. They were also both high ranking officers in the city police and as such, always given the cases were it seemed the paranormal was involved. They made a good living with both jobs and hoped that their daughter would not follow in their footsteps. Little did they know, Raishana had already begun by the time she was 15 years of age. She grew up reading stories about the paranormal world; stories of ghosts, monsters and people with "gifts".
She often followed her parents and their fellow hunters to track down and kill monsters. Raishana would even provide anonymous tips about monster sightings to the police, knowing her parents would be sent to investigate. By the time she was 18, she had helped her parents track and kill over thirty monsters; even helping rescue a group of children from a cult of demon worshipers. Raishana wanted to tell her parents, but she knew they would not approve. So, she did the only thing she could: she joined the police.
While her parents were completely shocked and against her choice, she quickly proved herself as a rookie cop and after three years, applied to work in her parents department. While her mother supported the idea, her father used his position and authority to keep her out. This caused a rift between her and her father, that to this day has not closed. Raishana, feeling she had no other options, went directly to her father's superior officer. Unknown to her at the time, the chief of the Johannesburg police force was a member of the Templars and when Raishana showed him her personal files, he overruled her father. On January 1st, 2015, she too became a umzingeli wezilwanyana. And in doing so, placed her in the cross hairs of her parents personal enemies.
