Hell Fallen NM

Post by Katelin »

Durendal and I would like to get our Karma Curio - and so we are looking for 3 willing and experienced people to take us through this.

On Friday 24th January, 19:30 GMT

Durendal and I are NOT experienced with this. We have NEVER done the NM HF dungeon, therefore - to limit peoples pain, I really would prefer to take 3 experienced people with us, then in the future (with our experience) we can take others through it too.

I am happy to not tank, if an experienced tank signs up and would prefer not to smash their head against their desks while I fail ;)

1. Durendal (heals)
2. Katelin (Tank or DPS)
3. Puzzy
4. Naite
5. Elil

thank you in advance! (and if anyone has any build suggestions for this run, please post them!)

I (PuzzyCat) have done HF NM only once, as a DPS (and on Master Planner), but I'm available to help. I won't be able to explain the tank and healer roles, since I never tanked nor healed a NM dungeon (not even Pol), but it is not as hard as I thought. If we don't have enough people from Cabal, I can try to get some of the guys who master planned this with me. Anyway, I *think* I understood enough of it to make people understand what to do, just don't know the tank/healer tricks.

Btw, if you have people more experienced than me, I can sign out without any problem. I also can link the build i used to master plan it for any DPS who needs.

Damn, I'll be working. If you ran this on Saturday I could come. I'm also no expert, only ran it once and we did MP. When we ran, we had two DPS using impairs and I was the 3rd DPS and brought DA and BS and was running debil for the group using both 12 Gouge and Insult to Injury. They had me pop BS and DA right away to get up to 10 stacks of debil ASAP.

This is the build I used, that was an adaptation of the buff build I normally use.

Fire and forget + Improved Blasts are important to debilitate multiple targets, which is usefull in many fights, but specially on the last one, when you have to debuff the ads and then the 3 bosses. Also useful on third fight to debuff the ads + 1st boss on the beggining of the fight.

We had a buff DPS with da/bs and a dps with 3 impairs (I don't remember which ones and I have no idea what he had to impair). One DPS also had a backup drone which was used specially on the beggining of 3rd fight and when the 3 bosses of last fights appeared (not sure if was used when the appeared or when there was only the last one up, since the last boss standing does 2x damage or something like that).

I run this as healer on my main legit every week. I will link my fist build, and a interrupt build I use. I'll talk to a tanking friend of mine for a build on that as well.

LOMS Guide to HF

http://www.lomsglobal.com/index.php?thr ... ctics.140/

The only advice I'd give to the healer is to jump down with the tank and start off with backup drone followed by greater good. You can time it with Radiance to make it through all of the OS moments. Our tank usually uses mass provoke to handle vile tendril when the second tyrant comes down so I do this with 1970 hp. Since this is your first time I would recommend having 5k hit points just in case he misses. This will allow you to live through a hit and you can heal yourself backup while the tank gains aggro on both tyrants. I prefer helter skelter to chaotic pull because I can also use it to get out of the way, but you can go with whatever you are comfortable with. On the fourth fight when the bombs come out stand still and see where they are spawning. You can then move around pretty easy. If you keep running more often than not you are going to run right into another bomb. On the last fight don't spare your cd's. As soon as you see the adds get on the tank start popping them. The dps can apply debilitate with an aoe builder through the shield, but I want to say the tank will take about 7,500 dps a second throughout the fight. Good Luck and have fun storming the castle!

Edit: Honeydoos :-) I'll get on later to link the builds as soon as I'm done.

(If you are still looking for 2 to join you, Elil and I can come along, even though we've not been before (I jumped in once to help out on the last boss, didn't down him though).

At least that way, you'll get a run and some experience.

Honestly, the easiest way to do HF NM is with Healtank + regular healer. Or, alternatively, 2 healers, 1 tank and 2 DPS with impairs. The DPS requirements are pretty low; the bosses have the lowest health of all dungeons and go down in ~10 seconds or less once the shield drops. It's surviving until the shield drops that's the problem.

Don't try to do this dungeon with a trinity and it suddenly becomes easy.

To each their own. Whatever works best for your group and what you are most comfortable with is what you should do. We run with a trinity and one impair and switch to two dps with impairs for the tyrant fight.
