Odd message received..

Post by Katelin »

I get a lot of correspondence... mostly just from people enquiring about our cabal. As leader of our Public Relations division, that’s normal. I like to answer the questions and help people learn about what our cabal does. Today though I received this from someone who didn’t seem to leave an actual name – but signed off as “Dunwich N1A”..

At first I thought it was just Floryn messing about. We often send each other texts to test each other. But... then it would have said it was from Floryn. Has anyone an idea what on earth this is?

Isn't there a bridge in Kingsmouth that has a Dunwich sign over it? The one near the junk yard?

I can and I did: There's your Dunwich N1A.

But I didn't see anything particularly to note under it.

Okies, well as you have established that this seems to be a message, I would like to suggest that a team goes and take a look at the location. Don’t let down your guard though, be alert, if Rick didn't find anything, perhaps this is a trap. – I need a team to go that isn’t going to be defeated by an unknown. Please, plan your defensive strategy. Figure out if you need to set up watches, set traps, and so on, and then deal with whatever you find.

((This report describes one of the side missions in KM.))
Beware of Spoiler!
Report DFH- NS/2015-KM3462

Assignment
Check the bridge in Kingsmouth leading to Dunwich, following a message sent to HQ by an unknown sender.

Message sent: “It’s hard to believe that there’s nobody out there. It’s hard to believe that I’m all alone. At least I have her love. The city she loves me. Together we cry - Dunwich N1A”

Team
“Saunabath”, “Mellified”, “Valahelm”, “LeMortieth”, “Floryn”.

Description
Team met at the sheriff’s office in KM. Set out to the designated bridge. Found a dead body underneath bridge. Found a car key and key chain leading to Edgar’s Scrapyard. (Mellified was called away to HQ.) Searched for matching car at the scrapyard (lot of work). Found a substantial amount of money and another dead body in the boot of the car. (Floryn was called away to HQ). Dissolved the team and concluded the mission.

Conclusion
Identity of the two bodies is unknown. Money needs to be checked for prints and authenticity.

To me it seems like someone tries to stage a suicide, hoping the trunk never would be discovered.
What's most intriguing if that is the case is why HQ got involved?

I find it hard to believe that these are connected to the message I was sent .. I mean, why would we be "targetted" to get tangled up in something like this? I haven't been to London to check my messages for a while - I am hoping that I will get a chance today. I really hope that this doesn't turn out to be someone trying to avoid police intervention.

Please confirm that you have alerted the correct authorities regarding your findings. We are not a police force even if we do strive to do what is right.
