Daily PvE Events (EST)

Post by kadyn »

I been trying to organize daily NM runs for the past 3 week, but have not been getting the amount of sign ups I was hoping for. So to change things up, I want to do something different on each day of the week and hopefully can hit a broader audience.

Please let me know if you want to be on a more permeate base on which event, especially as a helper role, as that should encourage on the sign up as well.

I will post this on the Noticeboard once I get some feedback, and eventually on the calendar once Volen and I figure out how.

Monday (9pm - 11pm EST) - Elite Runs
Open for anyone that still need elite done and anyone that are willing to help.

Tuesday (9pm - 11pm EST) - Beginner NM run (18/18)
Using Cleia's method, 1 beginner that's fresh out of gatekeeper and 4 experienced NM player to ensure smooth runs.

Wednesday (9pm - 11pm EST) - Experienced NM run (non 18/18) or MP run (any)

Thursday (9pm - 11pm EST) - Elite Runs
Same as above.

Friday (9pm - 11pm EST) - Beginner NM run (18/18)
Same as above

Saturday (afternoon - evening) - Elite Runs (afternoon) / Experienced NM run (non 18/18) (evening) or MP run (any)

Sunday (afternoon - evening) - Elite Runs (afternoon) / Experienced NM run (non 18/18) (evening) or MP run (any)

Like your approach, and declare with this that I'll do the same (more or less anyways) :)

Looks great - but please don't burn out. Zweihänder is THE biggest 9S division, but what you are suggesting is a 7 day a week slog for you. Even with a lot of love for the cabal and our members, you might not manage to sustain the mass of time and energy this will end up eating up from you :D

For the calendar, in the Noticeboard Volen has access to edit your post and click "Associated Event" - and from here he can put it on the calendar. You, Kadyn - have access to put things on the calendar from the PvE forum area. I will discuss this point with Uragon though.

If you want to set up so many events each day / night at set times - I would suggest separate posts per event, and then using the recurring event function on the calendar.
If you need help with the forum based things, ask me! I will help you all I can :)
If you find yourself forced to mercilessly slaughter your teammates because they become infected with some rare mutation, keep in mind that you are only doing your job -
They would do the same for you.

Hey Katelin,

I did this fixed scheduled "NM runs for beginners" for almost two months, day after day, lol.

But I won't go that hardcore crazy anymore, no worries.

Regarding the Calendar for events: it is not possible to combine that with a signup-roster, is it? I.e. you create an event and associate five slots with it for the roles, and people can directly sign up there?

Possible, yes. Not with the calendar mod for the forum I chose a year ago though. That's only got a basic "sign up x people" feature, so any role negotiation will have to happen in discussions or other media.

A solution for this week guys, is to use the directions on the pVe forum for 'how to post a pVe event"... and do it in the pVe forum. On the first post, use the "Associated Events" tab. Be sure to select the RSVP option so people a select if they want to attend.

The pVe forum is for everyone... its OK to post events there... lets just week by week and see how it goes, and how you feel about it.

Cool?

Sounds good. I normally log on each night and look for some pvp or pug raid that I can never roll a high number on, since I already finished my gear for all 5 role and all weapons, and mainly just looking for some things else to do.

Unfortunately I do not have the "Associated Events" tab even when I created under the PVE forum.

It was too late when we looked at this last night, but I know whats up - I have asked Uragon though if we can review all access rights to calendar across the cabal members. Please bear with us while we look into this :) we will keep you posted when we have "fixed" it :D
