That explains why Eve is bound to stay a spectator sport for me. I enjoy reading about it, but this doesn't look like the spaceship simulators I'm fond of. There's no swoooosh, there is no zooooom, just a bunch of oversized submarines moving through princess fart jam, blowing each other up
The news article on this said their was a "time dilation" to slow time down to 1/10 reality. This was done so the servers could handle the load and players could stay connected.
If you find yourself forced to mercilessly slaughter your teammates because they become infected with some rare mutation, keep in mind that you are only doing your job -

The irony is that I finished reading American Gods the day before this news came out (yeah, I'm a slow reader). That makes me happy though because I prefer to read the book before the film. As for the other news earlier in the year about a Sandman film, pass. I can't see anyone making a faithful Sandman film. American Gods on the other hand, I think will make for a lovely tense bit of TV drama.
