Normal dungeons with a new member - 26 September 18:00 GMT

Post by ArcyCiern »

Greetings all,

I've been playing solo so far (I'm currently in Transylvania - the story is just great!) and would like to try some dungeons etc., so I thought I'd ask if there was anybody who'd like to help me do them. My gear is quite good for those first dungeons (Polaris is marked as "very easy", I have QL 8-10 blues and QL 9-10 greens) so I don't think I'm going to be dying all the time;). So far I've been mostly enjoying the story but it's time to try other things out, so if anybody's willing to help out a newbie, I'd be very grateful. I'd like to try some tanking so I'll try to prepare such a built with what I've unlocked so far.

Thanks in advance and if you have any advice, please let me know.

That's pretty early Saturday morning for me. At your sort of gear level, you might be better off seeing if you can try the elites. Normal Polaris only drops QL 3's etc, so not a lot of use. Elite Polaris on the other hand would give you Blue 10's.

But I can certainly try and be around for you.

I agree that Elites are likely better for you - happy to join you :)

I can help out with that (1900 for me :) ) providing it's not making it to trivial for you?

Adding in my two pence - I think you should do the normals first, just to experience the story, loot is a worry for another day.

You can experience the story just fine by doing the elite dungeons too. You just need to set up the team so that the people that want to see the initial cutscenes first pick up the missions in the locations. Then when you're about to zone into the normal dungeon, simply cancel out and have someone enter from Agartha. The dungeon's cutscenes are the same, the only difference being that normal dungeons drop you back out in the related zones, whereas elites drop you back into Agartha. At least with the volunteers we seem to be having, normal dungeons likely wouldn't feel very immersive from a challenge point of view. The bosses would die in about 6 seconds flat.

I can help out - but I would bring my Lumi alt dps as she needs elites/normals - happy to help that way unless there are more cabal members who need them for their Templars

I think Trogvar needs them too. (least that was a discussion yesterday evening in cabal chat.) If anyone sees him, point him here!!

If I'm online (and I plan to be) count me in. I can do any role in elites.
All stories are lies. But good stories are lies made from light and fire. And they lift our hearts out of the dust, and out of the grave.

Ok. I've updated the first post with a list. If anybody's plans change, please let us know.
As far as elites go - I don't mind having a go at them - I don't think tougher fights will hinder the story experience and better loot is always... well, better:).
As always, if you have any advice for me, let me know.

Thanks everybody:)
