I'm dps
That is no issue, we enjoy letting people learn the raid. I do suggest clicking on the
NY Raid Guide link (Either this one, or the one in the main post, and reading the guides. They're not super long, and some of it will make more sense once you see the raid, but they are all helpful.
I suggest reading them all, just because, but the DPS one obviously is the most relevant for you, and maybe the AoE DPS one depending on your weapon combination.
The one thing I will mention, the most important thing for a DPS to do is to have ranged-matched weapons. The raid has a mechanic where there are three buff circles, and each one corresponds to a range of weapons, so Melee (Blades, Hammer, Fist and Chaos), Medium Range (Pistol and Shotgun) and long range (Assault Rifle, Elemental and Blood). Those circles are a huge boost (200%) to your damage, so you need to make sure to have the proper weapons on.
Also, if you use Assault Rifle, Hip Fire needs need the passive that boosts range to reliably hit the boss in the buff circle phase. Or you can use one of the other rifle single-target DPS builders.
