Facility NM (MP): Saturday 07 Mar 1800 GMT

Post by Yuriksha »

OK, here we go. I don't know if Daylight Saving starts in the US the 1st or the 8th, and that might affect some things. Also, if a tank candidate like Aberlour or Vikestart asks for a time adjustment, it'll happen. Anyway, indicate interest and role below. I'm pre-signing the folks who already said the 7th (and I think they're all DPS (edit: and Abe!)). Preference will be given to those who already talked to me in 'Trolling'.

BTW, given how well it worked last time, I'm planning on a Fear and Wonder lockdown of Katyusha in the last fight.

1. Yuriksha (DPS, bringer of Corruption)
2. Floryn (DPS)
3. Sonno (DPS/heal)
4. Aberlour (tank)
5. Chaosetor (DPS)

It is actually not uncommon to have a leecher throughout the facility dungeon when doing it MP style, while this is something Abe will have to decide, as he tanks, I found it made tanking the 5th boss much easier when I had a leecher heal me, as it allowed me to step away from the nodes, generate quite a bit of aggro, thus not having to use chaotic pull on every single boss. It would, however, make the 3rd boss interesting to say the least if we did not have a healtank. Having a leecher run anima vessel, RnS and possibly veteran on the 4th boss also makes healing through it quite easy, despite the glances of DPSes, or to simply have a leech tank. But again, this would make the 3rd boss interesting, to say the least, so it is something Abe will have to decide as he is our tank :)

Yeah. Since Abe hasn't responded here yet, and seemed to express some misgivings about his healtanking in the Trolling thread, I'm starting to worry a little. Tonight in between homework and stuff I may try to log in and touch base with him about this subject. Might even try to pull together a group on the fly to practice the tricky bits on 4 and 5.

I've leeched it numerous times, with and without a heal tank. *note not always as Sonno...I've had 4 different chars go through here. A couple of whom are now deleted.*

Leechers do help, cause the idea behind the 'heals' of the heal tank is more of an aggro puller than a heal per se. Even a well geared fist healer can work in here.

Whoops, I forgot to respond here. I'll be there.

And the problem I run into with heal tanking isn't the healing part, it's keeping aggro on the 5th boss. That is a pain. But as long as the DPS know when to hold DPS, we should be good.

A leecher helpls with that too as it allows you to go full on hate tank, soticism, lots of AR and so forth, but it is entirely up to you, I've even seen you healtank through it before, so we should be good :D
