Tokyo Crawl Sunday 24 15:00 GMT

Post by Obur »

Ok, let's face it - for the newer player like me the Tokyo is pretty hard. Not impossible but sometimes very hard, infuriatingly hard. The blue gear does not help, AEGIS keeps getting in the way and the enemies with shields are way too tough if all you have is a green lvl1 controller and so on. But it's only that frustrating if you're alone.

What i propose is doing a series of missions in Tokyo with a team, in a more or less organized fashion. Maybe explore a bit. It can be a story run, issues or just everything on our way - doesn't really matter much to me as long as it's fun. We can try do it IC or the regular way - whatever suits your fancy.

I plan to start around 15:00 this Sunday, there can be up to 4 spots in the group if I'm not mistaken. Anybody interested?

You can even make a raid of 10 people. 8-)

I'm not signing up just yet but I will see on Sunday if you have a spot left and if my arm will cooperate.

Definitely don't want to dampen the spirit of the plan. But Durendal and I have had bad problems teaming on Tokyo content. From cut scenes only showing fir one of us to missions not updating to things breaking to the point if needing to petition. Just want you to be aware of that ... but don't want to put you off teaming :)
If you find yourself forced to mercilessly slaughter your teammates because they become infected with some rare mutation, keep in mind that you are only doing your job -
They would do the same for you.

What Katelin said, it happened to us when we tried to do Orochi Tower as well. Our group was at the end of the Assault on the tower mission, I died then had to run back. My quest did not update because the rest of our group went ahead and killed the robot at the end. So, if you guys are going to do this a group, be aware that everyone must be together at all time when you are about to finish a tier, or it will glitch out for the person who is not with the group. Best of luck!

Generally speaking, main and minor missions can easily be done in a team, while a good share of the storyline missions have too complex scripts that tend to either break or desync for a group.

I've had a few issues with group content as well, but grouping for Tower Defense was always a great way to get those three extra controllers. It can be rough when you're just starting out, so that's another reason to group up for it.

We group in Tokyo all the time. You just have to be very careful. Stick together, make sure everyone is there before picking up mission items and killing tier changing mobs, and you'll be fine. May want to use Mumble to make communication easier.
