Thanks to everyone who came out. This was my first time in the Eidolon Raid. I had fun and hope you did too! It was definitely a change of pace compared to the New York Raid.

ReCap: We came close at 7% left on our best run. Kate thought this was a good time to go rock climbing and got stuck. :D No doubt we will down Eidolon next time.

Feedback
Tanks: Hold aggro. Only had a problem once or twice so no big deal. Other than that great job!
Heals: No complaints, kept everyone alive.
DPS: Where to start with you guys....lol. We got off to a rocky start. Ok ok. I got off to a rocky start. Things to remember:
Call to the Depths = Stop shooting TS!
Mass Hysteria = Run to AoE and Personal Pain = Spread Out
Blue Phase = Wait for the shield to drop off the adds before shooting

Cleansing and Shades seemed to not be a problem for us. The rest was follow the leader.

If you all saw anything that was problematic or worth mentioning, please do so.

Thanks and look forward to the next Eidolon Raid with you Swords! :D

It was fun, thankyou for organising and for the summary. :)

They would do the same for you.

I wasn't there to see what aggro issues the tanks had, however some pointers:

Aggro
Losing aggro to DPS generally is not an issue, however, the tidal wave thing is an aggro wipe, so whoever the active tank is at that point needs to get back to the boss ASAP and provoke. If you don't have provoke up, the DPS need to make sure to be no where near the healer, as they're likely eating a hit.

If the issue was the main tank getting aggro back after the off tank Provokes because of stacks, the key there is to stop attacking when you hit 6 stacks, and hold off on attacking for a couple seconds after the switch.

Really, after the tidal wave, and blue phase, everyone should take a step back, The cleave has a nasty range and can kill you even if he's turning.

Call to the Depths
Contrary to popular belief, Bombardment is safe. It does not damage you on Call to the Depths. My theory on this is that they swapped it's damage to be a "proc" so it didn't trigger other procs. Manifestations can and will kill you, though. Shooting it also will kill you. Haha.

Mass Hysteria
Ideally no one should be running everywhere. Everyone but the main tank, yes even the off tank, should be huddled together in the same spot, right up on the boss so no one has to stop DPSing. When the main tank hits 6 stacks (or 5 if you swap on 6) the second tank should move into position away from the DPS then provoke. The main tank should stay still until provoke wears off to make sure they don't get aggro again and then move to the pile of people.

If the tanks keep bouncing aggro, then the second tank should be off to the side, away from the DPS but easily reachable just in case Mass Hysteria targets them.

Personal Pain
The DPS should remember that the off tank and the healers get priority to stay closer. Ideally you also let your best DPS stay close enough to not halt DPSing, but that's not really a strategy I enforce, just something I keep in mind when trying to find a spot.

Blue Phase
It's not just wait for the shield to drop, it's do your best to not even be seen. The Draug Lord adds have an insane LoS, it's almost the entire zone if I reacall correctly. So if they see you, there is a chance they aggro you and the shield won't drop as they come at you and/or laser you to death.

Shades
If shades weren't a problem, then you probably don't need the reminder, but remember, you can dash or active dodge and be fine. You can even take a step, or two, no more and be fine. Especially the tanks. They can walk for a bit if needed, assuming they are being healed. But dashes/RJ are the best thing to do.

Either way, awesome to hear it went well. You'll get it soon enough! It really is a battle of attrition. Haha.

The agro problems were not all that terrible - and can be easily resolved I think by continuing to practice what we are doing :)

One instance was that Anta grabbed agro from me while it was "my turn" and that when that happened she was unfortunately stood in the DPS group. Another time it was unfortunate that I failed to communicate that it was my turn to go in, so Anta went in and grabbed first because I hadn't shouted that it was still my agro :) and I just wasn't able then to be in the right place at the right time.. so epic cleave-age :p

I think if we generally communicate more (probably via voice chat) and work on positioning - tanking is headed in a really good direction with me and Anta :) I know I can depend on her, and I hope she mainly feels the same about me!!

Sorry I missed it - we had to give an unexpected lift back home to a friend so we got back late.

Thanks for the extra insight Abe. I know I use Bombardment and I saw at least one other Sword using it too. It'll help satisfy my trigger finger problem while realizing everyone else has stopped shooting. :D I know at least once dps started shooting prematurely during the blue phase, which is why I mentioned the shields. I don't recall having LoS issues, but it's still good info to know. As for personal pain, I don't know about everyone else, but I didn't see a cast on Eidolon for this ability. Don't really need one cause you'll notice all the AoEs on the ground, but thought it was worth mentioning because I was waiting on my Effect UI to help me but nooooo.

There is a chance there is no cast for it, but instead there's a debuff placed on the players. Try setting up a visualizer for debuffs in yourself and see if it shows up.

Didn't think about that. I'll check it out next time we raid Eidolon.

Of course I know I can depend on you, Kate !! After tanking together for so long, it would be sad if we DIDN'T get a feel about each other so that we can (somewhat) anticipate each other. But coordinating this on voice would be an advantage LOL
