On the subject of HP Lovecraft

Post by Agoka »

I noted that the latest issue of the Swords Edge had a little on HP Lovecraft - who just happens to be a bit of a passion for me (favourite author, read everything he wrote, a few times :)). If you are interested at all, then this is probably the book to get as it has most of his stuff, including the most famous, Call of Cthulhu as well as many other well known ones (Thing on the Doorstep, Rats in the Walls, Mountains of Madness, Shadow over Innsmouth etc)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Complete-Fictio ... t+complete

Very cheap if you have a kindle.

There is also an online ezine dedicated to Lovecraft at http://lovecraftzine.com/ which among other things, has a list of films that are either inspired or based on Lovecraft, or have a theme reminiscent of Lovecraft's mythology (http://lovecraftzine.com/movies/).

Also, on a final note, should it interest you :P I am currently having the great dread Lord Cthulhu tattooed on my back:

Wow that's going to be really impressive.
If you find yourself forced to mercilessly slaughter your teammates because they become infected with some rare mutation, keep in mind that you are only doing your job -
They would do the same for you.

Cool. Thanks for the info on Lovecraft. 8-)

Impressive tattoo, hope to see it when it's done.

I must admit I don't really know Lovecraft, although I know of his work and some of the games generated out of his universe.
Should check him closer I guess :)
