Again, the door was jammed. Not a bit of movement. He asked Shirley to give it a push but even she couldn’t get it open. More people joined them.

“That’s the second time today, isn’t it?” someone said.

“Yeah and the third time this week, I know.”

“So when do you think they will finally have it fixed?”

“Don’t know. Usually someone fixes it within two hours but no guarantees.”

“Right, no guarantees. You’d expect a bit more from the Chamber of Commerce.”

“No time like the present to start making money.” Shirley sighed.

“Give me the money!” Floryn chuckled.

Floryn couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

“Oh, my god, Shirley. You look like a fried chicken. Did you stay in your tanning bed too long or what?”

Shirley cast an evil eye towards Floryn.

“No! I sold that tanning bed a long time ago … after the incident.”

“But,” said Floryn, “what happened? You even sort of smell like a fried chicken.” Floryn had to restrain himself from bursting into laughter again.

“Well, nothing that couldn’t happen to anyone else. I guess. A Lava Golem got me.”

“Oh.” Floryn looked disappointed. “Yeah, that could happen to anyone. I guess.”
