Reparations does not mean repair these days (it used to in archaic English) - nowadays it means:

The action of making amends for a wrong one has done, by providing payment or other assistance to those who have been wronged.

Eg: Floryn died so often in the dungeon that he had to make reparations to the team for the cost of their repairs.
