What's a baby Sword? A pocketknife?

Post by Reviled »

Say hello, everyone, to the newest addition to my admittedly fractured family:

My great-granddaughter!

Arabella Esmé [redacted]

Her mother won't tell me where the 'Arabella' came from, but the 'Esmé' is a nod to Mistress Weatherwax, from the Pratchett books. I wholeheartedly approve. That's an excellent namesake.

I myself was named James Bret [redacted] after James Garner, who played Bret Maverick.

Without undue breaches of anonymity, who were you named after?

Congratulations! She is so precious.

I have no idea why I'm called Kate - but my middle name is after my great grand mother :)

Maybe a baby sword could be a letter opener?

I was supposed to be a "junior" but then surprised my parents by being a girl, so I ended up "Roberta" instead of "Robert". I go by my middle name though, so only salesmen and the government actually use Roberta. Basically, if anyone calls me by that name, I know it's no one I want to talk to :-D

Congratulations!

When I saw the thread-title I thought I'd tell you that a baby-sword is what happens when two swords falls in love. And look, that is exactly what your thread was about!

She's beautiful
