In Québec, Thanksgiving is held the second Monday of October. It's not really celebrated the way it is in the United States. There's no such thing as a Thanksgiving dinner; it's rather a long weekend where people often visit relatives and friends.
It's held earlier than in the United States since it's originally a celebration occurring at the time of harvest. The climate being different here, winter comes earlier, hence harvesting is done earlier as well, hence setting Thanksgiving (Fall Harvest) earlier.
